Our craft

Great pizza takes time – and heat.

We take no shortcuts: no ready-made dough, nothing frozen, no compromises. Just flour, water, salt, sourdough – and a great deal of patience.

I48hours

Sourdough that gets its time

Our dough is proofed for at least 48 hours. That makes it airy, full of flavour and especially easy to digest.

Gas-fired stone oven

Baked in a gas-fired stone oven: even heat, a crisp base and the typically airy, lightly charred crust – just like in Naples.

Fresh. Local. Italian.

Neapolitan – with a Viennese heart

Our name comes from Floridsdorf: the Schwarze Lackenau is the neighbourhood around our original restaurant on Wolsteingasse. Since 2025 we have also been baking on Goldschlagstraße in Vienna’s 15th district.

Here, Neapolitan pizza tradition meets Viennese cosiness – whether on the terrace under string lights in Floridsdorf or at the wooden bar in the 15th district.

  • 100% fresh ingredients – every pizza is topped and baked to order
  • Plenty of vegan pizzas with vegan cheese
  • Kids’ pizza & kids’ pasta for little ones
  • Parties, groups, garden seating & terrace

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

How can I book a table?

The easiest way is to call the location directly: Vienna 15 on 0690 101 48 598, Vienna 21 on 0681 202 82 543. You will find all details on our book a table page.

What is the difference between spelt and wheat sourdough?

Our wheat sourdough made with Italian Caputo flour is the classic: extra airy, with a crisp, lightly charred crust. The spelt sourdough tastes a little nuttier, and many guests find it easier to digest. Both doughs are proofed for 48 hours – and every pizza is available with either.

Do you have vegan pizza?

Yes, quite a few: Vegana, Lila Vegan, Carciofi Vegan, Pesto Vegan, Agrigento Vegan and the Pizza Trento Vegan – all with vegan cheese. The Marinara is vegan by nature. Find out more on our vegan pizza in Vienna page.

Do you deliver?

No, we do not offer delivery. But you can pre-order your pizza by phone at either location and pick it up fresh from the oven – here’s how.

Can I host a birthday or company party with you?

With pleasure! Just give us a call – we will discuss requests such as a cake service, a high chair or allergies in person when you book.
